Experience
After spending the first 21 years of my life in Mexico City, I came to the states to continuing my schooling at the University of Texas El Paso, where I obtained my Bachelor of Arts in Spanish with an emphasis on education. After graduating from college, I became a Spanish teacher, and have experience teaching all levels of the language. Since beginning my teaching career, I have spent a year teaching English as a second language at a New Mexico high school, two years teaching both Spanish and ESL at El Paso Community College, and teaching at numerous Texas high schools. For the past three years, I've been teaching Spanish in a Texas middle school. Additionally, I have been on the AP Spanish Language Scoring College Board for the past 10 years. I believe that everyone learns in a different way, and over the years, I've developed a method for teaching that allows me to incorporate visual and conversational techniques into my lessons so that it's easier for my students to grasp and comprehend the Spanish language, as well as retain what they are learning. I'm available to tutor students in Spanish levels 1, 2, 3, and 4, as well as students taking AP Spanish. In my free time, I enjoy outdoor activities, such as biking, mountain hiking, and running. I also enjoy swimming, Zumba, and dancing, as well as cooking and walking my dogs.
