I attended SMU and graduated with honors with my B.A. in English. I also completed more than 45 hours of their pre-med program. I have worked with learning specialists in order to strengthen my educational techniques, strategies, organizational skills, and time management.As a tutor, my goal to better my student's lives through education that is engaging and accessible to them. I am here to encourage them and offer support in areas such as time management and study skills. I evaluate the needs of the student and his or her learning style so that the information can be not just learned, but reproduced in a format that is necessary for the course. This is done by adapting my teaching style to the needs of the student.I have found that I am able to tutor in a wide variety of subjects. The math courses include algebra 1 and 2, basic math, and trigonometry. I am also able to help a lot with reading, writing, literature, grammar and mechanics, essay editing, English, study skills, and ESL/ELL. I do well in cell biology, biochemistry, physics, chemistry, physiology, and anatomy.When I am not tutoring, I am able to find time for the things that I enjoy such as yoga, dance, fashion, music, cooking, reading, and art.
